Best way to study and memorize parasites?
We learn best what we have experienced first hand. uming, however, you do not want to experience parisitology personally, you will have to play on your particular learning strengths here. Visualization is key: looking at slides/photos and then closing your eyes and trying to picture what you have just seen in your own mind, focusing on the the one or two unique characteristics of the particular parasite can help. Sketching the parasite as a sort of cartoon with exaggerated details for the unique parts is another creative way. For similar bugs, you may wish to create comparison charts that pinpoint the unique characteristics and differences between them. Don't forget to include the info over which you are likely to be tested. For testing purposes, you don't have to remember every detail, only the ones your professor wants you to. That can be surprisingly different from details that may be helpful later in your career. Good luck!
