Can any of y'all give me some information on shadow people?

I'm writing a book called James Scarlet, and in it a girl meets a descendant of the shadow people, so i need some information of them. teh girl's mother is an elf, so she has some elf blood in her, and since I need some pictures to, can y'all describe how you think she wouold look liike?
