Is it posing as a skater if i wear skateboarding clothes/shoes?

I'm 13 and i *try* to skate. I started about a month ago and got really into freestyle skating. I can ollie, casper, casper 180, railstand, railflip, and pop shuvit. I know its not that great, but I'm trying. Some kids at my school (about 5 of the pretty good skaters) call me a poser because I used to dress like a prep and they say im just skating to be cool. Even though I tell them I suck at skating.
