Why is macbeth a moral play?

Think of what happens in the play and of the fates of the various characters. There is a morality at work, a point Shakespeare is showing us. If, for example, the play is about unbounded ambition and a lust for power, what is Shakespeare showing us in terms of what happens to those who are so ambitious they will stop at nothing to achieve their ends? What lessons are learned when we finish the play?
