Question on covenants..............?

Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant and ushered in the New. The purpose of the Old was to show man that he could not keep the standard and needed God to save him. Jesus did that, but God is the same yesterday, today and forever and will punish the ungodly who remain in their sin.
